Those who are attending this year’s Packaging Innovations show will be able to take part in an eco-friendly challenge that is new for this year, according to packagingnews.co.uk.
The Ecopack Challenge, which is sponsored by Marks & Spencer, will allow a selection of visitors to put forward their idea for new eco-friendly packaging solutions in front of a panel of experts. The eventual winner will then be given a one-hour session with a technology specialist from Marks & Spencer, in which they will talk further about the design.
The event, at Birmingham’s NEC, will be held over two days next week (February 26 – 27).
As well as the new challenge, there are also set to be more print debates, advice from industry experts and new interactive features at the event than there have ever been before.
Many features seen at previous editions of the event will also be returning. These include around 50 learnShops from major brands such as Tesco, Iceland Foods, Wilkinson and DHL Supply Chain.
A drinks reception will be held, which all event goers will be able to attend. This will allow visitors to network with each other, as well as with exhibitors and speakers at the show, according to mhwmagazine.co.uk.
